SIGNATURE OF AN EMPLOYMENT CONVENTION IN SAINT-ETIENNE

Urban and commercial iconic project, Steel’s ambition is to re-characterize the gateaway of Saint-Etienne’s city and create a positive economic dynamic for the area. That is why Gaël Perdriau, Mayor of the City and Chairman of Saint-Etienne Metropole, Luc Darmais, Territorial Director of Pôle Emploi Loire – Haute-Loire, and Maurice Bansay, Apsys’ Chairman, signed a partnership convention for the Steel project, aiming to maximize the number of employment.

All signatories commit to:
• Facilitate et simplifie the recruitement process
• Mobilize all the devices and methods allowing people having difficulties finding jobs (seniors, young people without qualifications, inhabitants of primaries areas of the city’s politics)
• Facilitate the integration and maintain of people’s job
• Secure the employee’s career path
• Secure the employee’s career path

With a private investment of 200 M€, Steel is one of the most important project of the lasts decades in Saint-Etienne. 1 100 employment are created or maintained: 300 during the works et 800 in exploitation stage. 72% of the work has been done by Rhône-Alpes Auvergne area company, which represents a sales revenue volume of 65 M€.

« On all our projects, we’re trying to encourage the local employment, by favouring area’s company for the works and closely collaborating with public actors to optimise the recruitment process (particularly with people who has difficulties to have a job) », said Maurice Bansay, Apsys’ Chairman.
