Apsys announces that financing has been finalised and that work is to start on the Lacina project. For that major operation, Apsys is joining forces with Foncière Euris. Apsys will have a 73% stake while Foncière Euris’s participation will be 27%.
“Apsys is moving forward with the dynamic visible in its very dense activity of the last few months. After acquiring Beaugrenelle, and only a few months before work starts on the Muse project, another major operation, we are very happy about this new step in Apsys’s development on a market with which it has a long, fruitful history: Poland”, says Maurice Bansay, the founder and CEO of Apsys.
The finalisation of this financial agreement with banks Berlin Hyp, ING and BGK, allows work to begin on this new-generation shopping centre whose surface area will total 100,000 sqm GLA, and which has already reached exceptional commercialisation and leasing levels.
The loan amounts to 187 million Euros, making it the largest financing ever granted to a commercial real estate operation in Poland. Apsys’s 17 years’ worth of experience in developing and managing shopping centres, together with the many assets of this flagship project, are what allowed the partners to set up a financial consortium of such quality between ING Śląski (agent), Berlin Hyp and BGK.
Lacina will be the largest shopping centre in the Poznan conurbation and the Wielkopolska region. The centre will lead the way in terms of architecture, design, environmental commitment, retail offer and customer service. More than a shopping destination, Lacina will be an actual laboratory for new, exciting trends.
Fabrice Bansay adds: “We want Lacina to become in Poznan what Manufaktura is to Lodz, a source of pride for the local community and a reference in terms of leisure, entertainment and culture!”
