A wholly reinvented neighbourhood
Les Ateliers in Saint Martin d’Hères create a new connection between retailing, services, and the campus and cultural life of a city that looks ahead to the future.
The project reinvents the city-centre and turns it into a genuine meeting place. For instance, the main square, with the space dedicated to the UCPA (National Association for Outdoor Sports Centres), will be the venue for regular events that will bring people together and follow the seasons: around the ice-rink in the wintertime, around sporting events in the summer.
Les Ateliers are creating a unique space within a historical quarter with a wholly redesigned industrial heritage. At the intersection of major transportation networks, driven by the dynamism of the Grenoble region, Les Ateliers are at the heart of an area renowned for its quality of life and the various opportunities it offers.
An exceptional, large-scale urban project
Saint-Martin d’Hères is the site of the various campuses of the Grenoble-Alpes Métropole conurbation and a thriving historical city that is both young and dynamic with a 515, 000-resident catchment area.
Les Ateliers are a one-of-a-kind, large-scale project that enhances and highlights the city’s industrial heritage
Respecting the natural environment: a commitment
Les Ateliers rejuvenate a significant industrial heritage and plans, through its leisure and retailing offer, to obtain no less than the meaningful BREEAM environmental certification. By using the latest technologies in reduced energy consumption, reduced pollution and recycling, Les Ateliers are pioneering a centre that genuinely respects the environment.
