Apsys since 1997: bringing together talent and architectural innovation to create people places

1997: the adventure’s Eastern beginnings

The huge potential offered by Central Europe is what convinced us to set out for Poland. Not only did our meeting with the Wroclaw officials start off a lasting friendship, but it also brought about the creation of our first Polish project: Korona.

1998 : major ventures

Apsys purchases the Poltex factory in Lodz. Two major financial partnerships are established.

1999: two major realizations

The Janki program in Warsaw and the Korona program in Wroclaw are the first centres in Poland that offer a concept combining retail and leisure, with a mortgage-based financing scheme, which is also a first in Poland.

2000: success and expansion

The Janki centre expands as Apsys itself grows. Its slogan is now: Imagining Tomorrow.

2001: the first network of centers in Poland

The Casino group chooses Apsys to manage its shopping centres in Poland. Apsys becomes the leader in centre management. More than 100 collaborators now make up the Apsys team.

2002: Back to the French source… Apsys’ French projects are now on the map

Fleur d’eau in Angers, L’Heure tranquille in Tours: the first French projects opt for a resolutely mixed-use approach to urbanism.

2003: reinventing the city

In Lodz, Manufaktura, « the city within the city » with its 110,000 sqm of retailing space, starts collecting numerous awards, including the Prize for Best European Shopping Center from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in April 2008 in the “extra large” category.
In France, Apsys’ project is chosen for Beaugrenelle, the largest commercial real estate operation within the Paris city walls.
Apsys creates Aparc, a subsidiary that specializes in blending retailing areas, leisure resorts and landscaped parks.

2004: the year gets off to a good start

The Porte de Châtillon centre in Paris and the Platan centre in Poland are inaugurated.
Foncière Euris and Apsys sign a contract of exclusive partnership.

2005: awards and rewards

The HQE (High Environmental Quality) dimension of the Fleur d’eau project in Angers makes it a pilot programme. It is a testament to the partnership between the city, the CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and Apsys.

2006: Manufaktura’s success story

The thousands of visitors who came to the inauguration of Manufaktura are won over by the transformation of the former textile factories, carried out while respecting the harmony of the 19th-century protected buildings.
In France, Apsys is chosen for two projects in Moulins.

2007: new ventures, new spirit

The group’s Graphic standards evolve, while the company is selected to extend its creative vision in Saint-Martin-d’Hères.

2008: new horizons

Apsys launches the Leto project in Russia; meanwhile, in France, Ruban Bleu opens its doors in Saint-Nazaire.

2009: going global

Apsys diversifies the financing models for its programs while developing its 8 projects.

2010: new landmarks

Apsys and Sogecap’s ten-year partnership begins.
Meanwhile, Apsys develops projects in Metz, Caen, Paris…

2011: envisioning tomorrow

In the spring, the first stones are laid for two new future neighbourhoods: Le Nouveau Beaugrenelle in Paris and Les Rives de l’Orne in Caen.
